A bigger update: Hellcatv has pointed out some serious problems with Alpha 0.0.0 that have since been corrected in the latest version (the save files were missing, as were installation instructions). He also gave me a tip that unit scale could be set in the xmesh file, which I followed on a hunch. After some tweaking with this method, I wound up eliminating the scale problems I was having with the coriolis stations! (This means that autopilot now works in the Troy system.)
Don't hesitate to grab a copy of Alpha 0.0.1 at the Downloads section, and enjoy!

A small update: pre-release patch 0.0 has been replaced with 0.0.0. The new pre-release patch is smaller, has better save files (for testing ships), and comes with a few extra crumbs of documentation. Pick it up at the Downloads section.

Happy new year from the Elite Strike team!
We're not quite ready to release Alpha 0.1 yet- there are still underlying issues with scale that have to be dealt with. Also, shadowblack seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, so don't hold your breath for revamped stats anytime soon.
On the bright side, we're giving the public a chance to sneak a peek at what's in store for the first release. Head on over to the Downloads section to pick up a copy of the pre-release patch (Alpha 0.0). Enjoy!

Great news! George Hooper has given us permission to use his elite midis in the game.
Also, shadowblack has expressed interest in doing stats assignment and balancing when he has the time. With reworked stats, new graphics, code tweaks, and music, we'll have ourselves a full-fledged elite game in no time!
